Within the SU campus, visitors should be prepared to walk as the bus operators may not let people without valid ID onboard even if space permits. Alternative routes for non-SU students or staff include routes 47, 462 etc which will service local stops between the two campuses. As a result, buses do not serve local stops (running express) between both of Sunshine University's campuses. This route is only for Sunshine University staff and students, therefore it may not be used by the general public. The hotel is perhaps also a teaching facility for Hotel Management students at the University (similar to the Hyatt Regency Hong Kong hotel within the Hong Kong Chinese University campus in reality).

The purpose of this route is to provide shuttle services within Sunshine University's Main Campus, and also non-stop direct service between the main campus at University Island, the sub-campus at Southern Central, and Hotel Symbol, which is likely to be the dormitory of Sunshine University Students. 6.1 Northbound to Sunshine University (Main Campus).
